Frequently Asked Questions
Is the pool heated?
Yes, the pool is heated to within a few degrees above or below, of 84ºF. Pool temperatures may vary due to weather.

Where do I go on the first day of class?
On the first day of class, please check in with the front desk at the Community Center.

What should my child wear to swim lessons?
Your child should be dressed in their swimsuit and ready to swim. Please arrive with a towel, goggles, cap or hair tie. Swim diapers are required for children under 3 or those who are not potty trained.

Is it OK for my child to eat before a swim lesson?
It is recommended that children refrain from eating at least one hour before a swim lesson.

Can I drop my child off for their lesson and come back to pick them up later?
No, you must remain present for the duration of the swim lesson.

Can I sit on the pool deck during class?
No, we ask that parents or guardians sit on the outside of the pool deck during the lesson, except for the Parent and Me classes.

Do you offer refunds?
Customer requested refunds/transfers no later than 7 business days prior to the first day of class. No refunds after first class. No refunds or make-ups for missed days. A processing fee of $7 will be charged for all cancellations after a registration has been processed. If minimum class size is not met by one week prior to the start of class, the class may be cancelled. In the event that the District cancels a class, you will receive a full refund. Outdoor classes are cancelled in the event of lightning.

If my child misses a class, will I receive a make-up lesson or credit?
It is essential that each lesson is attended to receive the full benefit of the class. Please plan your schedule carefully. Sorry, there are no make-ups or credits for missed classes.

Are there changing rooms and showers?
Yes, we have changing rooms with showers and restrooms. Please refrain from changing on the pool deck
